MEET CHRIS

Chris Chun is an Australian artist and designer who is known for his vibrant and colourful paintings that draw inspiration from his Chinese Australian heritage. He creates originals and limited edition prints that are snapped up by collectors who have coined his style ’Chunoiserie’ and affectionately refer to themselves as ‘Chunistas’.

Chris's incorporation of visual storytelling and symbolism result in an emotional connection with buyers who appreciate the meaning in each piece and want to own a piece of ‘everyday beauty’. This can be in the form of artwork or products ranging from ceramics, textiles, home decor, fashion, interiors and stationery.

Chris exhibits his work internationally and has won awards and accolades for his art and design work.

With over 20+ years working internationally in design and product development, Chris collaborates with a select group of clients, artisans and craftspeople.

A LOVE OF PATTERN

Chris honed his craft in Europe designing for well respected textile design studios whose clients included the likes of Giorgio Armani, Missoni, Diane Von Furstenberg & Laura Ashley. Featured in various leading publications around the world, Chris today divides his time travelling between Asia and Australia, exhibiting as an artist and collaborating with clients all over the world.

THE BEAUTY OF NATURE

Chris's artwork often incorporates elements of nature such as flowers and birds, and explores themes related to identity, memory and cultural heritage.
