'Into The Blue' Original Paintings

Into the Blue' is my latest ocean-themed series, inspired by the global legacy of Chinese Blue & White ceramics — from Arita ware to Delftware, Willow ware and Islamic porcelain. Reaching Europe via Marco Polo and later maritime trade, these prized wares were lost in countless shipwrecks. Inspiration literally struck me after a lionfish sting, lying in hospital and imagining shipwrecked porcelain treasures merging with the ocean's own.
