Australian artist and designer Chris Chun is renowned for his
distinctive, mixed media paintings that are decorative, joyful and
sophisticated. As one of the few licensing artists who also exhibits
professionally as a fine artist, Chris's artworks have found a spiritual
resonance with fans all over the world.
As an award winning designer (including a brief stint as a chef in
London), Chris has worked in Australia, Italy and the UK. Since
painting full time in 2004, Chris has had a great deal of success.
Chris was selected as a finalist in both the 2004 Fleurieu Peninsula
Biennale Art of Food and the 2005 Jacques Cadry Memorial Art
Prizes. His exhibition 'Appetite' was the opening event of the
Tasting Australia 2005 Festival in Adelaide.
In 2010, Chris re-located to Chiang Mai in north Thailand, well
known for it's rich arts & handicrafts. Living in Thailand, which is
also affectionately known as the 'land of smiles' has provided him
with everyday inspiration for painting and creating new work.
Chris is also collaborating with local artisans and craftspeople to
produce limited edition products including lithographs, homewares
and sculpture. |
